MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Welcome Back, Henry Families!
Dear Henry Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are excited to begin another wonderful year at Henry Elementary, where we are proud to be Four Houses, One Family. Through our four houses: Allegro, Creare, Illuminatio, and Relevé. We are committed to creating a school community where every student feels welcomed, valued, and connected.
This year, we will continue strengthening our house community through a house rally and house meetings every two weeks. Each house will also have a calendar of events for families, providing opportunities for students, staff, and families to participate, celebrate together, and build a strong sense of community and belonging.
Our theme for this year is “Oh! The Places You’ll Go: Believe. Achieve. Succeed.” Believing in yourself is one of the most powerful steps toward success, and we believe every Henry Hawk has the potential to learn, grow, and accomplish great things. Together, we will encourage our students to dream big, work hard, and confidently pursue their goals.
As an AVID-certified school, we take great pride in preparing our students for future success by building strong academic skills, confidence, organization, and a love of learning. We also look forward to hosting family events throughout the year that support the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students while strengthening the partnership between home and school.
This year, we will elect a new English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) chairperson and new School Site Council (SSC) officers. Serving on one of these important school committees is a meaningful way for families to share their voices, represent our school community, and participate in decision-making at Henry.
Our PTA will also hold a membership drive and regular meetings to plan engaging social activities for our students and families. Joining the PTA is another wonderful way to become involved, connect with other families, and help create memorable experiences for our Henry community. We encourage all families to participate in any way they can!
Thank you for trusting us with your children and for being an important part of the Henry family. We look forward to a year filled with learning, creativity, connection, and celebration. Together, there is no limit to the places our Henry Hawks will go!

¡Bienvenidas nuevamente, familias de Henry!
Estimadas familias de Henry:
¡Bienvenidas al año escolar 2026–2027! Nos emociona comenzar otro maravilloso año en la Escuela Primaria Henry, donde nos enorgullece ser Cuatro Casas, Una Familia. A través de nuestras cuatro casas—Allegro, Creare, Illuminatio y Relevé—nos comprometemos a crear una comunidad escolar donde cada estudiante se sienta bienvenido, valorado y conectado.
Este año continuaremos fortaleciendo nuestra comunidad de casas mediante una asamblea y reuniones de las casas cada dos semanas. Cada casa también tendrá un calendario de eventos para las familias, el cual ofrecerá oportunidades para que los estudiantes, el personal y las familias participen, celebren juntos y desarrollen un fuerte sentido de comunidad y pertenencia.
Nuestro tema de este año es “¡Oh, los lugares a los que irás! Cree. Alcanza. Triunfa.” Creer en ti mismo es uno de los pasos más importantes hacia el éxito, y creemos que cada Halcón de Henry tiene el potencial de aprender, crecer y lograr grandes cosas. Juntos, animaremos a nuestros estudiantes a soñar en grande, esforzarse y perseguir sus metas con confianza.
Como escuela certificada por AVID, nos enorgullece preparar a nuestros estudiantes para el éxito futuro mediante el desarrollo de habilidades académicas sólidas, confianza, organización y amor por el aprendizaje. También esperamos ofrecer eventos familiares durante todo el año que apoyen las necesidades académicas, sociales y emocionales de nuestros estudiantes, al mismo tiempo que fortalecemos la colaboración entre el hogar y la escuela.
Este año elegiremos a un nuevo presidente del Comité Asesor de Estudiantes de Inglés (ELAC) y a nuevos representantes del Consejo Escolar (SSC). Formar parte de uno de estos importantes comités escolares es una manera significativa para que las familias compartan sus opiniones, representen a nuestra comunidad escolar y participen en la toma de decisiones en Henry.
Nuestra PTA también llevará a cabo una campaña de membresía y reuniones periódicas para planificar actividades sociales interesantes para nuestros estudiantes y sus familias. Unirse a la PTA es otra excelente manera de participar, conectarse con otras familias y ayudar a crear experiencias memorables para nuestra comunidad de Henry. ¡Animamos a todas las familias a participar de la manera que les sea posible!
Gracias por confiarnos a sus hijos y por ser una parte importante de la familia Henry. Esperamos con entusiasmo un año lleno de aprendizaje, creatividad, conexión y celebración. ¡Juntos, no hay límites para los lugares a los que llegarán nuestros Halcones de Henry!
